How to set up your Google review NFC tag.

An NFC review tag opens your Google review page the moment a customer taps their phone — no app, no scanning, no typing. Here's the exact process to program and test one yourself.

1. Find your Google review link

Sign in to your Google Business Profile, open the manager for the location, and choose Read reviewsGet more reviews. Google generates a short URL in the form g.page/r/…/review. Copy that link — it's what the NFC tag will open.

2. Choose your NFC chip

For review use cases, an NTAG213 chip holds enough memory for the URL and works with every modern smartphone. NTAG215 offers extra storage if you want to add fallback content in future. Every 1 Tap Club stand ships with the correct chip pre-selected.

3. Program the tag

Install an NFC writer app such as NFC Tools (iOS/Android). Open the app, choose Write → Add a record → URL/URI, paste your Google review link and tap Write. Hold your phone against the NFC tag until the app confirms the write succeeded.

Optional but recommended: lock the tag after writing so the URL can't be overwritten by a customer's phone.

4. Test the tap

Unlock a phone, tap the top of the device against the NFC zone on your stand and confirm the Google review page opens in one motion. Test on both iOS and Android — iPhones need iOS 14 or later with Background Tag Reading enabled (on by default).

5. Place it where it earns reviews

The counter, reception desk, till or bill folio all outperform hidden placements. Pair the stand with a short, friendly line from staff — asking at the right moment is what turns a satisfied customer into a 5-star review.
